Jessica Steinman is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (License #93349) and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist in private practice in Los Angeles. She works with individual adults, couples, and families. Jessica received her Certification as a CSAT through IITAP- International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals. Outside of private practice, Jessica is a Primary Therapist with Seeking Integrity, an intensive inpatient program for male sex addicts. Prior to that, she was the Clinical Director for Create Recovery Center, a substance abuse treatment center specializing in Dual Diagnosis. Before that, she spent over four years as the Clinical Director for Westwind Recovery where she created their three treatment programs from Detox/Residential, Day Outpatient and Night Outpatient. Before that, Jessica worked as a Primary Therapist seeing individuals and facilitating Group Therapy for KLEAN Treatment Center, a residential treatment center for people struggling with substance abuse and addiction. Before KLEAN, Jessica worked for the recovery center for teens, Destinations to Recovery.
Jessica received exceptional post-graduate training at The Maple Counseling Center (2013-2015) in Beverly Hills where she worked psychodynamically with individual adults and couples. She also received training at The Center for the Study of Young People at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (2014-2015) as a Supervisor and Resource Associate for Teen Line, a program that provides crisis intervention and prevention, peer counseling, and referrals specifically for children and adolescents ages 12 to 21.
Jessica worked with the Early Childhood Development Associates and was trained by the founder and child therapy specialist Marilee Hartling, RN, MFT. Her work helped parents to understand the positive qualities they bring to their relationship with their children. By modeling these qualities, children learn about trust, caring for others, and making friends as well as progress within their development.
She completed the Sex Addiction Treatment Program training provided by The Center for Healthy Sex taught by Founder Alexandra Katehakis, MFT, CST, CSAT. Sex and Love Addiction is a specialty of Jessica's and can affect individuals and couples alike.
Formerly, she spent many years working in the entertainment and events industries. From this, Jessica gained a sensitivity and deep understanding of the experiences and challenges that professionals, especially artists, struggle with while maintaining healthy and balanced lifestyles.
She received her Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena.
