What’s your approach to individual therapy?
I blend philosophies and techniques from a variety of psychotherapeutic traditions (among them Psychodynamic, Client- Centered, Emotional Focused, Mindfulness, Humanistic and Cognitive-Behavioral) to tailor the modality to your current needs.
Do you work with couples?
I work with couples in an Emotion-Focused Therapy approach. I believe that couples have the ability to heal their relational wounds through deep sharing of one another’s feelings combined with pragmatic solutions to common problems the couple faces. I tell couples that one speaks Japanese, one speaks French and I speak both. I am able to help couples navigate how to communicate and understand each other.
Do you work with families?
I take an eclectic approach to working with families, blending various modalities to suit the needs of the entire family. I focus on helping families build the communication skills and emotional regulation necessary to move through their issues.
How long are the appointments?
50 minutes.
Do you accept insurance?
Although I accept private pay only, I can make a super-bill available to you to submit to your insurance company.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept cash, personal checks, Pay Pal and Venmo.
What is your fee?
